After completing the shiny purple Charlene triceratops with the pink feather boa, it occurred to me that there needed to be balance in the force. For that reason, I embarked upon creating my own purple triceratops, but this time based on something a little more masculine, Hence, the next one was based on Samuel L. Jackson. I called it Samuel L. Dino. It would be purple but with some cool black stripes. Now, to test my paint job I got a smaller toy triceratops and painted it up. That one would come to be known as Sammy Dino Jr.
On this one and the previous one I built a roof to its mouth since, otherwise, it would have a big gaping whole. I made this buy using Milliput.
It was a fun build and a great companion piece to Charlene.

I had been collecting Prehistoric Scenes Kits (and their re-pops) for a while and finally got to the point where I was ready to start building. I had asked my girlfriend what her favorite dinosaur was. She told me that it was the triceratops. I then asked what color she would want it to be. She replied purple...with glitter. While I was completely OK with purple glitter was a big issue. Glitter has a tendency to go everywhere and get into everything. Fortunately, we were able to compromise and go with metallic purple. Originally, I was going to call the model Charles after RuPaul Charles. But at some point my girlfriend said that it should have a pink feather boa. At that point the name changed to Charlene.
It was fun to revisit this Prehistoric Scenes kit . It had been decades wince I had built it as a kid. It was a great way to get back into building these kits.
